I Will Tell Nothing But the Truth

I just want to clarify that everything I tell you is the truth.  Yes, people are going to get mad, but the truth is not always easy to hear.  As children we are told to tell the truth or we were going to be put in time out, so we still lie about what ever it is that is threating to punish us.  While sitting in the corner or in the time out chair, we think to ourselves "Why did I lie?"  As we grow older and more mature, we learn to make that lie undetectable.  I lied to someone today without even flinching as the words came out of my mouth. Even that little white lie could have been easier if I just told the truth.  Yeah, the truth would have hurt a little bit but eventually thing would get back to normal.  The truth is brutal and sometimes people need to know the truth.  Would you want you best friend to tell you your breath stinks?  I would rather hear my best friend tell me my breath stinks instead of some random stranger in the elevator.  What I am saying is that in the life of theatre we are so accustomed to lying that sometimes we lie to ourselves and we just need someone to let us in on the truth.  So I apologize in advance because I will be writing on the truth and it will hurt.
