Where is Martha?

As you know Martha deleted her Facebook May 2, 2011.  It has been two whole days without trying to figure out who Martha Smith was.  I do not know about you but I still kind of want to know who she is.  If you want her back and want to play the game some more comment on this post.  And for all the people who do not want her back we will let the votes decide.  Only a few certain people know who Martha is, but I will not leak the names.  I plan on revealing Martha at the Banquet, but that is only if you want to keep playing. Martha I am sorry and I still want to play you have my vote.

Martha Dear

So in the Green Room today Martha struck again.  Jena and I were in the green room right after Acting II and I noticed that Martha had answered the "Would You Rather" questions again.  She is fast.  I would like to say to all of the theatre students that the investigation is going well, but everything is leading to dead ends.  I wrote her some questions and I think she might have got them.  Now, I am just waiting for her response.  So do not worry those of the Green Room, Martha will be brought down.  Martha you should be scared.  More on Martha Smith when we have more information.

Day of One Acts

So today was the day my directing class and I had to present our one acts we directed.  I believe we all did a great job.  There was a wide range in the style of each play.  We had Creepy, thanks to Bobby Washington, who directing "Molly Whuppie," and comedy like "The Spotted Man" directed by Chelsea Beth, all in which were extremely amazing.  The night was going great.  We just got through intermission when, we back stage and most likely the audience heard the loud thunder roaring outside.  The weather had went to the extreme.  We were hearing rumors that a tornado had touched in Benton, might I add most of us live in Benton, and we were told if the alarms went off that the makeup room was the safe room.  I and many others were starting to worry.  So my question is today, if something as dangerous has a natural disaster happen to you how would you react?  Would you freak out or would you stay calm?  I know I was really worried for my family and my friend's family who were in Benton not knowing what was headed for them.  I would like to thank GOD who protected my family and my friend's family.  He is truly amazing.  I would also like to thank Daniel Salazar and Rachel Bamburg who starred in my one act "Sure Thing" I had a blast working with you both and it was amazing.

Who is Martha?

In the green room we have "Would You Rather" questions that we answer everyday since the beginning of the first semister.  Kevin Hippler the founder of the questions has recently discovered an unknown participant.  Her name is Martha.  None have heard or seen this so called Martha and we are just wondering if she truly exists.  Her writing is really small and of a man's hand writing.  Where a woman's is eligant and much larger.  We have a few suspects in questioning but if you have any information please leave a comment. Thank you and WE WILL FIND YOU MARTHA!!!;)

Her

Have you ever just wanted to scream at the top of your lungs.  Not because you are angry but because you like someone so much and you can't stand it.  See times are not has simple as they were back when my mom was a teenager.  People use to just be able to ask the boy or girl out with no problem, but nowadays its much more complicated.  The average teenager has already had sex by the time they turn 17 sometime out of the thought that they are loved or because it is fun.  I am the one who believes sex is for the person you truly love.  I am a virgin and proud of it.  I want to wait for that perfect girl, the one I want to marry and have two kids with.  I think I might have found her.  She is amazing.  The way she talks and acts it is so amazing.  I love everything about her. We are good friends and I think she feel the same way but how can I be sure.  Like I said times are different from when my mom was a teenager.  So if you have an advise shoot it at me.

It's Not All About You

Selfish...Not a lot of people are that selfish, not unless you work in the theatre.  I have to admit there are times when I am selfish, but then again there are people who are selfish 24-7.  I do not know if they realize this or if they are just really conceded.  I was in the green room one day and having a nice conversation with this person when someone came in and just threw themselves into the conversation talking about how they were having a bad day and went on about themselves.  You may say that seems heartless, but this person is always having a bad day; and if they are not having a bad day then they have to have some way of making the subject all about themselves.  I guess in the theatre we are so used to trying to gain the attention from the audience that we want the attention all the time.  If you are someone who talks about themselves constantly please keep in consideration that the world does not revolve around you.  That there people around you with serious problems unlike,  "Oh my god the boy I like didn't look at me" or "Look at my picture I just took.  I look so good."  Please for the sake of the green room stop talking about yourself.

I Will Tell Nothing But the Truth

I just want to clarify that everything I tell you is the truth.  Yes, people are going to get mad, but the truth is not always easy to hear.  As children we are told to tell the truth or we were going to be put in time out, so we still lie about what ever it is that is threating to punish us.  While sitting in the corner or in the time out chair, we think to ourselves "Why did I lie?"  As we grow older and more mature, we learn to make that lie undetectable.  I lied to someone today without even flinching as the words came out of my mouth. Even that little white lie could have been easier if I just told the truth.  Yeah, the truth would have hurt a little bit but eventually thing would get back to normal.  The truth is brutal and sometimes people need to know the truth.  Would you want you best friend to tell you your breath stinks?  I would rather hear my best friend tell me my breath stinks instead of some random stranger in the elevator.  What I am saying is that in the life of theatre we are so accustomed to lying that sometimes we lie to ourselves and we just need someone to let us in on the truth.  So I apologize in advance because I will be writing on the truth and it will hurt.

Parting for Athens, Texas

Daniel Salazar a good friend of everyone in the theatre department is leaving us this summer for Athens, Texas to be with his girlfriend Joy Greenawalt.  I'm writing this for you all to leave a special comment for Daniel before he leaves for his new adventure in Texas.

Life in the Theatre

Life in the theatre is the most exciting life one in the entertainment business can have, sometimes.  Yes theatre has its days.  I am currently a student at a college in Louisiana where they have a really great theatre program.  In the program we have four plays every year to perform, not alot compared to universities and might I add that this is a two year college.  Over the year that I have been here the plays all seemed to have the same person as the lead in all but one play.  It would be okay if the person who got these roles were humble but he or she is far beyond humble.  He or she believes they are better then everyone in the department which is somewhat true, but then again he has been at it more then that freshman who just enrolled or that nursing student who decided to change majors.  Who says he is the best?  One day he or she will realize there is someone better then him or her. So yeah life in the theatre is filled with many types of people.  You have the go-lucky guy who can make anyone laugh, you have the girl that everyone loves and wish they could be with,  you have your gays that are the major drama queens, and you have your lead big head who thinks their crap don't stink, but we all know that their attitude does.
